Our History
Our journey began in Norway in 1996, driven by the ambition to deliver energy-efficient and cost-effective seawater desalination solutions through the development of our pioneering energy recovery technology, the Recuperator.
Over the years, this differentiating technology enabled us to deliver seawater desalination plants across the Middle East, China, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Africa.
In 2014, in response to growing challenges in the industrial sector, we expanded our presence in Australia through the acquisition of two operation and maintenance companies focused on delivering and managing water treatment assets for mining, power generation, municipal, food & beverage, and heavy industry clients.
Our growth continued in 2019 with the acquisition of a leading Southeast Asian company specializing in industrial water and wastewater treatment technologies. This added extensive experience in providing process solutions for the semiconductor, power, mining, pulp & paper, food & beverage, and oil & gas sectors.
As part of our ongoing evolution, we have partnered with and acquired emerging technologies that enable us to treat highly complex waters, maximize resource recovery from waste streams, and enhance operational efficiency.
In a world undergoing rapid digital transformation, our partnership with Intelliflux supports our clients in advancing the digitalization of their plants through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), making them smarter, more sustainable, and more cost-efficient.
From our origins as Aqualyng, and now as Almar Water Solutions Australia, our commitment remains unchanged: solving increasingly complex water challenges through advanced technology, efficiency, operational excellence, and people continues to be at the heart of everything we do.
